A multi-level model of middle school
student engagement

The project aims to develop a comprehensive model of learner engagement by investigating how Austrian middle school students interact with their language repertoires, participate in English lessons, and engage with school life more broadly. It explores how learners make use of their different languages and the affordances in their contexts to enhance learning, both inside and outside the classroom, and identifies practical implications for supporting language learning across these settings.
